Denny's

Solo gluten free diner before 6 pm on a weeknight. I ordered salmon from the 55+ menu. I told the waiter that I was gluten free and didn't want the bread. I also ordered mashed potatoes without gravy and with butter on the side. It took a very long time to receive my food and it came out with bread, deep fried potatoes and vert dry overcooked salmon. The waiter offered to bring me a salad, but didn't have vinegar and oil dressing; he offered and Italian dressing, but I had no way of knowing if it is gluten free. I asked why I wasn't told that they were out of mashed potatoes and he said the cook didn't notify him until he took my plate back to the kitchen. I 100% blame it on the cook. I told him had I known I would've gone somewhere else.

Years ago all Denny’s food seemed to be better quality . They offered more things, but still it still is decent food. It’s not bad. I’ll be back. And I had an excellent waiter. He told me I would have to wait 20 minutes on my stuffing because it was not done and asked me if that was OK. I said yes and I got it in about 16 minutes. Very good service. I am now eating some gluten and dairy and I got the turkey stuffing mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. The corn was actually very good. The turkey was moist. The gluten and dairy did bother me yes. The stuffing tastes, just like stove top stuffing, which, when I go out to eat I am not a fan . They don’t have dinner rolls they have slices of toasted buttered bread. The cranberry is good it taste like wild cranberry. It’s a pretty strong flavor. A little goes a long way. I’m miss green beans !!! The corn was extra good. It was all $21.
