Denny's

It seems like Denny's used to be better when I was a kid but that may be nostalgia and/or the unsophisticated palate of my youth. They remain reliable for decent service, cleanliness, and most importantly are very often the only late night option, which is important for road travelers. I was pleased to see they have modernized their menu by adding lighter foods and options for smaller portions. I ordered from the Seniors menu (they did not card me to make sure I was over 55 haha) I think it was called the light bite or something, it was scrambled egg whites with spinach, fruit and a dry English muffin. Perfectly fine, and modestly priced. Husband had an omelette with bacon sausage ham and cheese, and said it was ok only, and rather greasy (though how you would eliminate greasiness from this dish I do not know). They did not have a gluten free toast option, which surprised and disappointed him.
