Thankfully, the waitress, who must have won the honesty award for the day, reluctantly informed me that the potatoes in my dish were anything but gluten-friendly. So thoughtful of her to share that little nugget of wisdom before I could dig in! I guess honesty really is the best policy, especially when it comes to avoiding stomach chaos. In a moment that should have been filled with hope, she inquired if she could swap those treacherous potatoes for grilled hash browns. Cue the dramatic pause. The owner’s response? A resounding no. Bravo! Nothing says “we care” quite like stubbornly sticking to a recipe that clearly lacks any regard for dietary restrictions. Forced to settle for a salad—because apparently that was the only thing on the menu that wouldn’t send me running for the hills—I sat there watching others enjoy their meals, wondering why I chose this establishment in the first place. The owners of this establishment don’t care if they make people sick or KILL people with their dishonesty. The menu says they have tons of gluten free options. They have one, salad. If you care about transparency and safety, DO NOT EAT HERE.
