I recently dined at Desaki Japanese Restaurant in the Pocono Mountains, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional service provided by our server, Kassandra. From the moment we were seated, Kassandra’s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Her attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm made us feel like valued guests, elevating the entire evening. Kassandra’s knowledge of the menu was impressive—she guided us through the hibachi and sushi options with confidence, offering thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. She ensured our dietary preferences were accommodated, checking in with the kitchen to confirm gluten-free options for one of our party members, which showed her attention to detail and care for our needs. Her timing was impeccable, keeping our drinks refilled and pacing the meal perfectly so we could fully enjoy the hibachi performance without feeling rushed. The food itself was a delight prepared by Jeremiah—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The hibachi filet mignon and jumbo shrimp were cooked to perfection, with vibrant vegetables and perfectly seasoned fried rice that complemented the main dishes. The sushi, especially the specialty rolls, was a highlight, bursting with fresh ingredients and creative flair. Kassandra’s suggestions, particularly the spicy tuna roll and the chef’s signature creation, were spot-on and added to the meal’s enjoyment. Desaki is already known for its family-friendly atmosphere and top-notch cuisine, but Kassandra’s exceptional service made our visit truly memorable. Loved this restaurant! They accommodate gluten free really well, even at the hibachi. I would highly recommend this to anyone with food allergies or intolerances.
