Desert Island Eatery

Came because never seen a Caribbean place with specifically vegan/gluten free menus + wanted to support. The food is delicious, authentic, + flavorful overall. The only item lacking in flavor that was had was the rice + peas surprisingly but mixed in with everything else it didn't matter much. The service was great. Family owned + ran business added a welcoming home feeling. There is outdoor seating available + this is a to-go restaurant so it's packaged to-go minus the bag even if you eat outside. They do provide table service though which is appreciated. The food is made fresh to order + therefore it takes a while before you get your food. This isn't fast food but it is delicious healthy food. If you don't want to wait call ahead, which is what most people seemed to do.

This was the best food I’ve had in a VERY long time. It was my first time having Caribbean food so I got a combo with Caribbean, jerk, and curry chicken. The chicken was so tender and the cabbage that comes on the side is cooked and spiced perfectly. The staff is all very nice as well and the eating area has a great atmosphere. My cousin is gluten-free and they have so many gluten free and vegan options so there’s something for everyone.
