Went to District Table & Bar last night for the first time. Our friends had been there a few weeks back and enjoyed it so much they invited us to try it. It’s a very cool place with a nice vibe. Our server, George, was best in class. He took the time to explain the dishes to us and answered my questions about what I could order since I can’t eat gluten. He was knowledgeable about gluten and it turns out most the dishes can be made gluten free. We had great cocktails and wine with dinner. We ordered the wahoo dip for an appetizer and it was the best I’ve ever had, and being a native Floridian I’ve had a lot. Our entrees were: 1 Lobster in Japanese bread rolls that came with lobster bisque and home made chips 2. Steak and truffle fries 3. Sliced short ribs over rice topped with a scallion sauce and sesame seeds 4. I had two appetizers for my entrée - the deviled eggs and the roasted oysters. Amazing! We all went home happy. Perfect from start to finish!

A great choice! Modern spot, great service, fantastic food. They always have some gluten free options (there were two entrées to choose from), and the server was great advising on what's safe for a gf person and what's not. We did mussles, piri piri chicken (damn amazing), seared tuna (truly only seared!) and the sweet tea fried chicken (mac and cheese was a bit dry this time but seems its not usually a case). Everyone was happy with the taste and had great time. We will definitely come back! Edit: after a second visit, I took one star down for food. It seems like it's pretty uneven. Some of the other options are ok at best (current version of district chicken is just very weak).
