The hotel and its entire surroundings are just an illusion. At the very beginning, you have to deal with crazy logistics – you have nowhere to stop the car for three minutes. If you manage to do it and carry your suitcases about 100 meters, you will find that the parking lot is 10 minutes away from the hotel, plus up and down a proper hill. When you remark that you could use a parking attendant, they just say, "You're right." If you forget something in the car, they recommend calling a taxi - it's really far. The rooms and their furnishings are a combination of everything from Woodstock to medieval. The beds are narrow, certainly not typical double beds. There is traffic on the cobblestones under the windows, so you're in for a lot of noise. Breakfast and its organization are a complete disaster - you don't eat, you just get upset. And if, for example, you are gluten-free, don't even ask - horror. The prices of meals, for example in the Erb hotel, are extreme - you pay at least 23 euros for a meal, not to mention beer. Conclusion: just come to Štiavnica for four hours and then leave as quickly as possible.

Excellent location, beautiful premises with atmosphere, friendly service and a wide selection of desserts. Choice also for gluten-free people. But you also pay a lot more for quality.

Pleasant atmosphere. I also found a gluten-free cake 🥰 which was a nice surprise. You can only pay in cash.
