Really the best Gluten Free fish and chips ever. Such a cosy, nostalgic wee spot and the food is so delicious. Can't rate it enough.

Turned up at 11:30 so the breakfast menu was still on the go. They accomodated my daughter's need for gluten free food offering her bacon and eggs that she loved. I had a mini fry and it was just enough for me, I usually judge fry ups on the sausage quality and it was spot on. The waitress was lovely with my daughter. Would be back when back in Newcastle in future.

For a "chippy" Docs is wonderful! Great decor, service is excellent, and the food is superb! They have Gluten Free fish, so make sure you ask for it, as it's not mentioned on the menu (they really need to promote this more including a huge poster in the window!) We use their Ardglass shop regularly, although they don't have GF facilities (please reconsider this!) and are always impressed by the quality. Their fish is clearly very fresh. Definitely be back.
