Pros: Service was excellent. Our server was kind and responsive. The views really are gorgeous and it’s a great time of year to be outside. The GF options are clearly defined. Food: I got the grilled fish tacos. This is NOT a place I would go with celiac. Although our sever was truly amazing and willing to figure out anything, there was no mention that the fries had gluten. The food was a solid three stars for me. The ingredients are fresh and the fish and burger were cooked well. But everything was a bit lacking. The green beans tasted frozen to me. They very well just could have been steamed, but they tasted bland to me. (And I really like green beans.) I wished the corn tortillas were heated. They were straight out of the bag, and the fish was cold. That being said, I took my extra one home because the Tuna was super solid and well seasoned. The ceviche was Tex-mex? I’m not sure what was going on. It was more of a saucy salsa style rather than a cut up, pico type, of salsa. Again, the fish was fresh. I loved the shrimp in it but overall me and my husband were disappointed with it. For highly sensitive people, it’s very loud. But it’s a very popular local spot on the beach so that is to be expected. I was glad I brought my sunglasses as it’s open to the outside. If you’re looking for great views, solid food, and a casual eat out, this is a decent option. I don’t know what else Corpus has to offer but people seem to love it. Our Airbnb even recommended it. I would wager a bet that their fried fish options are super solid. I just couldn’t partake with my gluten allergy. But given how well my fish was cooked, and the other reviews, I’d go for those meals.

Next time we're coming to Doc's the first night of our trip so we can watch the sunset! What a fun place! It was packed when we passed it well after lunch and it was still packed before dinner, but plenty of room for everyone with zero wait time to be seated on Memorial Day! Live music! We could have listened to Justin's guitar music and singing for his whole set, but we needed to get back before the rush of traffic. Gluten Free and Plantbased options. Alli is the best waitress; be sure to ask for her! She took the guessing out of ordering by taking the time to describe several favorite menu items. If we had a question she couldn't answer, she found out quickly without making us feel our dietary restrictions were anything less than her #1 priority! She also pointed to the menu sections to help us navigate the incredible choices. Alli recommended the Strawberry Basil Lemonade and it was every drop as delightful as she described it would be! We'll be back very soon! Worth the drive from near San Antonio, TX, even just for a date night drive, dinner, and view.

My wife and here stopped here for dinner. Our server Hannah P. was incredibly helpful with helping my wife determine gluten free options. We were so thankful for her help, she went and double checked certain foods to make sure they were actually gluten free. She also hand wrote a list of sauces for my wife that were gluten free at the restaurant. The food was great and the views of the sun setting over the water were stunning.
