I insisted to him if he couldn't take from a tub that was unstarted just like they did last year, it seems that we were lucky enough to come across an employee who was more empathetic than the owner of the business and he denied claiming that he didn't have any. We simply ask that you have some ice cream in an individual tub for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerant, I know it is not your obligation but we appeal to your empathy and that seeing a girl cry softens your heart. Emphasis is being placed on architectural barriers but there are many barriers that, with a little empathy on the part of the people responsible, would be very easy to tackle.

Last year my 7-year-old daughter ate the best gluten-free ice cream she had ever tasted and this year, excited, she ran to have it again and they couldn't give it to her because they couldn't open a new tub and thus guarantee that it didn't have cross contamination. The girl couldn't stop crying because of the deep disappointment she experienced. We will not return.
