Don Saro Cucina Siciliana

One of the best Italian/Sicilian restaurant in town. I did not have any bad experience, we (my and my gf) visit regularly and are always very happy. Food is superb and less expensive (yet more tasteful) than any other "posh" and expensive/luxury wannabe italian restaurants. Carbonara with guanciale and no cream. I love fish foods. Salsicia is great. Currently also my fav pizza. And they will make you gluten free pasta without any extra money!! Which is great on so many levels. Firstly my gf is celiatic, so she have no choice. Secondly not every restaurant has this option. And thirdly, it's free. It always costs something crazy like 3-4€ extra (you can buy 1kg of gluten free pasta for that at any supermarket) anywhere else. Definitely recommend this place, and try everything on the menu!

The environment is pleasant, you usually have to order. The staff is nice, helpful and caring. The tomato soup was really honest and had a great taste. I had the best pizza recommended, and it should be vegetable, better than average for the price, inadequate. Gluten-free pasta with eggplant a big disappointment. Bland without taste, tomato background indistinct, 4 large pieces of eggplant cut into slices and with a hard skin. I expect creativity and an interesting taste from pasta for 10 or more euros. I welcome lemonades made with homemade syrups as a plus point, but on the other hand, the taste was weaker and bland, and the soda didn't go well with it, but that's a matter of personal preference. For me, the previous restaurant at this location was definitely 2 levels higher. Thank you, but we will not come here again. I see a lot of room for improvement in gluten-free foods.
