We had brunch on a busy Saturday morning for Doppio, but that did not affect the food, service or atmosphere.
Our waitress was brilliant: knew the menu, made suggestions without being pushy and was pleasant throughout our meal.
We had baked eggs and avocado eggs, one better than the next. With water, ginger beer, tea, coffee (cold and hot) and two desserts to share the bill came to just under €75. This was great value.
My only, small, gripe was the banana bread. The waitress had pointed out that it was gluten free but I didn't think before ordering.
The banana bread came slightly heated, with a dollop of fresh cream, but still had that dry, flat gluten-free taste and was very disappointing. The banoffi pie, however, was great, fresh and flavoursome.
We left feeling like new women and promised ourselves to come back for dinner another time.
