Great experience at Doubleday Cafe in Cooperstown. Gluten-free items are clearly indicated on the menu, and GF buns and bread are available for a small upcharge. Sandwiches and burgers come with chips, since the fries are cooked in a shared fryer and are not celiac safe. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and has been gluten-free herself for 10 years, which made me feel much more confident dining here. I was originally going to order the chips and queso because it was marked GF on the menu, but she proactively warned me that the tortilla chips are also cooked in a shared fryer and are not celiac safe. I ended up ordering the roasted turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich on gluten-free bread, and it was delicious. Really appreciated the staff’s knowledge and honesty about cross-contamination.

The place is a great place to get breakfast. Our waitress was very pleasant even laughing at some of my dad jokes. One thing that Drew us to this place is that they have gluten-free bread. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Cooperstown area
