Dough Pizzeria Napoletana

In town for a conference and needed a place with gluten free options. Sherry, or server, right away asked if we had any allergies she needed to be aware of. I told her I had celiacs. She informed the kitchen and Orlando can it and discussed with me while the have gluten free dough and will do their absolute best not to cross contaminate he could not 100% guarantee it. I very much appreciated his honestly and told him I would give it a shot. I preferred the Vera Margerita pizza. It was the absolute BEST pizza I have had in a really long time. I am full, happy and had no reaction. My husband had the duck pappradell pasta and loved it. Thank you guys for a wonderful tasty evening and the thunderstorm did make for a great show!

If you’re gluten sensitive or you have a preference to avoid gluten, the gluten free crust here is to die for. It’s the closest I’ve ever seen to a “normal” pizza crust. My wife, who is gluten sensitive, and I ate here twice while in San Antonio and will be returning. I would be careful if you have a gluten allergy as they can’t guarantee cross contamination but if you can handle your reaction it’s well worth your time.

10/10 recommend the burrata sampler! Also recommend making a reservation in advance, very accommodating for gluten free allergy but gave good full disclosure about possible cross contamination due to the open kitchen. Thankfully we were just gluten sensitive but they were very accommodating
