Down Under Restaurant

My wife and I were searching for a good place to eat in the Fernandina Beach Fl area, We had lunch at Down Under . They serve gluten free food choices, and we had a great time and the food was great also. We were honored to have Michelle as our waitress, she was very helpful with the order and made us feel so welcomed to be there. We enjoyed our visit! Thanks!

Food was ok. I have a gluten allergy and was told the shrimp tacos could made GF. Unfortunately they were brought out in flour tortillas. Instead of bothering the waitress I just ate the shrimp which was tasty. Our waitress seemed annoyed the couple of times we saw her. My guess was that she just didn't want to be there and wasn't happy about being given another table. We saw her only to give her our order and then had to flag her down for the check. She was not pleased when my husband asked for a to-go cup for his iced tea. Hopefully this girl was just having a bad day. I never let one bad experience turn me away and would like to try and go back again and just be more up front about allergies.
