Downtown Bethany Blues

We had dinner there tonight. We are a large group 6 adults and 5 children and an infant. Our one grandson has Celiac’s. And when we asked about getting just the shrimp skewers for him due to his Celiacs—the server said the manager would be over that they take allergies very seriously. The manager came over within a few moments and he was so nice and said it would not be a problem and that it would be marked as an allergy order and how it would be handled. The overall service was EXCELLENT! The food was excellent! I highly recommend them!

The first bite of brisket was heavenly. We were interested in having barbecue after not eating that for a couple years. Downtown Blues is a comfortable restaurant and I appreciate that most of the tables are booths. Food-wise, this place is excellent. The BBQ platter we ordered was fantastic. I recommend the kielbasa, brisket, and baby back ribs. Also amazing was the crab dip appetizer and the wedge salad. I wasn't as impressed with the two sides that came with the meat, but we were more than happy with our food. Service was also great. The manager came out to explain what gluten free options there were when we asked. We asked for blue cheese dressing for the meat, which we highly recommend. The sauces they provide are also quite good (highly recommend the spicy BBQ, which was not too spicy and much more like a sweet sauce). I was surprised to see that this place didn't have more business on a Sunday dinner hour. It definitely deserves to succeed. The meat was so juicy and tender, they are clearly doing something right!
