Downtown Sushi Bar

Probably great for people with no dietary restrictions. Came here as a celiac with a vegan friend, both ended up with questionable plates. Struggled to find appropriate items in the menu. I said gluten free for an allergy, got told the wasabi on my plate has gluten so they put it on the edge. Vegan friend struggled to find anything suitable, ended up with a lot of egg in his order. Nice pictures of food, no way to ensure the safety of the order. Nice vibes. If you want to be sure of your dietary needs and you have transport then I recommend my favourite, Loku Sushi in East Van. They’re small but you know what you’re getting.

One of my favorite sushi places in Vancouver. If you are celiac or concern about gluten, this is your place. The owner (Bibi) knows about it very well and she and the staff will take care of you. Big portions and very good price, a combination hard to find these days in Vancouver.
