Drewe Arms - Broadhembury

I’ll be honest, I’m not usually one for leaving reviews. However my family and I have just this weekend returned to Essex after visiting the Drewe Arms for a friends wedding this Saturday. Now both my wife and son have coeliac disease, which if anyone you know has to live with this, usually eating out is nothing short of a bloody nightmare. Rob and the staff at The Drew’s Arms couldn’t have been more polite, welcoming and helpful during our visit. Sure we were only a couple of wedding guests, but they went out of their way to make sure my wife and son were looked after and had great meals to chose from. Rob personally served my wife with her own spread of all gluten free buffet food. Even when later in the evening the chefs were cooking wood fired pizza outside, the chefs went inside to prepare a GF pizza for my wife and ensured it was prepared separately and fully understood her condition. Nothing was too much trouble and I’d like to thank Rob and his staff for the exceptional care and service during our visit. Add to that, this is a beautiful country pub in a stunning little village, great food and absolutely lovely staff. Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it.

Lovely country pub, really welcoming to kids and dogs. The food is excellent with many gluten free and vegan options and homemade ice cream. Highly recommend a visit.
