Ristorante Duca D'Este

After a 2-week stay in Italy, we ate our last Italian dinner during the trip in this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a FAILURE. In my opinion, this is a good place to have a drink, which is why I give it a star. The cocktails are tasty and nicely presented. Snacks added to an aperitivo are quite messy. However, food is a separate matter. We ordered funghi pizza, margherita pizza, spaghetti, one of the gluten-free dishes (the menu has a large selection) and Coca-Cola Zero. The waiter took the order - except Coke zero because it ran out. Okay, coincidence, no problem. After a while he came back and informed us that there were no mushrooms - this surprised us, but hey, it's the holidays, so there's no need to be nervous. I took a pizza with ham. After a few moments, the waiter came back and informed us that the ordered gluten-free dish was not available. So, slightly nervous, we changed it to another dish and enjoyed tasty drinks and a beautiful view of the castle. After another moment, the chef came and informed us that there was no second gluten-free dish. So we asked what it was - she said she didn't know and we would check it out. She came with information about gnocchi with salmon and asparagus. We decided to order because by that time we had already finished the rather tasty pizza - I had the impression that the dough was frozen. But the finale was the best. After opening the plastic package of gnochi I brought - the smell and consistency of the dish are not visible in the photo, but I am attaching the photos. I do not recommend this place!!! Unless for a drink.

In my opinion the best bar in Ferrara. Furthermore, during this period it has managed to provide, as far as possible, an exceptional home service, with attention to packaging, delivery times and product quality. Gluten free was also provided with the usual attention and quality. I express my strong appreciation and thanks for your kindness and attention.
