Duke's Refresher St Lawrence

CELIACS BEWARE: went there for a team outing and we made it very clear a number of times (during planning as well as onsite) to the events coordinator that we had someone in our party who was celiac and very sensitive to gluten. We ordered their "gluten free" dishes. Well, long story short...THEY WERE GLUTENED. She spent the night vomiting in the bathroom. The restaurant tried to blame it on cross contamination, but this person does not have sever reactions when consuming cross contaminated food, Hence the reason why they were comfortable attending. The only thing the manager did was hand them their business card and said it must have been from cross contamination. No follow up the next day. It takes weeks for gluten to leave the body and unfortunately she will be feeling this way until it does. TO THE RESTAURANT: We understand that you want to offer a variety of options to people who have dietary reatrictions to help attract more ppl to your restaurant, but if your kitchen is not capable of ensuring that dishes remain gluten free, then take the options off your menu. You are playing with people's lives. To add to this, many of the machines do not work and eat up your money. As an event planner, i will not be returning or recommending to anyone in the future. S

This was the 3rd birthday that we celebrated here. I really like the service, long tables (we were 15 on the same table), many cocktail options (good price, around 8$/10$), pizza is great, gluten free options, and more! Plus, the games make the whole experience even more fun! I would recommend 100%!
