Duke Of Wellington

I often visit the Duke for food and drinks with friends. Especially one of my favs as it's dog friendly. Greene King food is always reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. Always a good selection of drinks on tap. They offer gluten free options which is a win win for me.

Didn't manage to take any photos, but a nice clean place and great beer garden. Stopped off after a dog walk, and the staff were amazing... Attentive, helpful and accomodating. The gluten free menu is also great, with a great choice!. Ordered a chicken basket, and it's one of the best pub lunches I've ever had, batter was crispy, chicken was perfectly cooked. Again, the service was great, the wait staff were attentive and helpful. It started to rain really badly, and we were still eating, the staff come out and the manager provided us some secluded seating inside, still abiding by all the social distancing rules, this was unexpected and really going that extra mile... Once all the staff helped move all our stuff inside, we finished our meals and again.. the service was prompt and efficient. So thanks for having us, and I would def go there again... Actually worth a detour for the food alone as well as the amazing service.
