Delightful meal for a birthday celebration. Cosy welcoming pub with defined areas for drinking and dining but retains buzzy atmosphere. Has a varied menu, well executed and confidently presented. Chipotle butter Scallop was a highlight. Wine list is extensive and interesting. Staff were able to advise on gluten free options, which were available across starters, mains and desserts. Only slight disappointment was finishing the meal with a limp chamomile tea bag. For a place with such focus on the provenance of the food and lovely tea pots, it was a flat end to the meal and I'd hope for loose leaf.

Exceptionally welcoming pub with a great selection of beers. I had the freedamm, alcohol free and gluten free and would you believe it was deliciously refreshing. I had the £20 2 course set menu, I left hungry to be honest ( hence why I can only give it 4 stars ) but the food was exquisite.
