EL PIRATA

We came over spontaneously on Tuesday. We wanted to take a look first, but were asked directly by the restaurant staff if we wanted to eat here. After briefly asking whether there were gluten-free dishes available, we were immediately handed cards and explained which dishes were gluten-free. After thinking about it for a while, we decided on this restaurant and got a nice table straight away. Once there were fries with a small jar of ketchup. They were regular fries (containing gluten). We each had two tortillas with chicken. These were gluten-free and very tasty, but they were really just two small tortillas. We then ordered two more. The last dish we had was fried “baby squid”. The portion was quite large and was barely managed. Overall, it was delicious to eat here and Celiacs also got something to eat here. Personally, I didn't think the tortillas were that good value for money. They were really very tasty, but a tortilla (diameter about 10 cm) costs around 9 euros... That's not so cool...hence one star less. If the price-performance ratio can be improved here, then more stars.

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant while on holiday. We had the best service we have experienced in all of the places we visited in Mallorca, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I'm gluten Intolerant, so obviously some items on the menu I can't have, the menu is clearly labelled and the staff were brilliant. They even pointed out items we ordered which had gluten in it (for my girlfriend) they thought we added by mistake. The food was fantastic, amazing views, quick service and over all I can't fault anything. The food and drink were also very reasonable bareing in mind the busy location, seated next to the harbour and served by two great young guys who couldn't do enough for us, thank you again.
