EL REY MEXICAN RESTAURANT

I'd like to give it 4.5 stars, but that's not an option. The food was very yummy and super fresh. We had a vegetarian, a gluten-free eater, and a diabetic all eat here. There are lots of options for everyone.

Had a late lunch today with a friend. I had been to their restaurant in Asbury Park two years ago and the food was delicious , so when we were in the Belmar area we figured we would try their new restaurant. I asked to have a chicken burrito without the tortilla due to I have an allergy to gluten as well as dairy. My friend had the chicken quesadilla which she said was good. Mine was good but there was very little chicken , it was chopped in very small pieces and there was very little black beans , there was mostly rice. The staff was friendly and came to ask if every thing was okay. The decor is very nice and looks authentic Mexican. So, my only complaint is if the entree is suppose to have chicken in it , you should be able to see the chicken. I’m sorry for not giving five stars, but hopefully other customers will get more chicken in theirs.
