This is a unique place to go for dinner, hidden in the woods beside a pond. The service was great. My wife and I thought the first course (white asparagus soup and tuna sashimi) and desserts were excellent. The entrees (duck for my wife and Iberico pork c hop for me) were good, but somewhat overcooked. We had called twice beforehand to ask if they could accommodate our need for a gluten free meal. They could, of course, but never bothered to return our calls, which is a small enough courtesy to expect. So, it was a good but not great experience.

The atmosphere was lovely and cozy especially on a cold winter night. The two courses I was able to order from were tasty, but they had very few gluten free options especially in the first two courses. Given that this is considered a high end dining experience and very pricy, I would have expected the waiter to be more helpful in this area. Instead of guessing, or assuming I would think he actually speak to the chef if he didn't know. If a restaurant is going to charge a prix fixe menu, they should be able to easily accommodate a gluten free request, have more than one option in any course, or have a waiter that cares enough to suggest modifications. The service was subpar overall which was quite surprising.
