East Bank Fish n Chips

Excellent Gluten-Free Fish and Chips.

Since the change of ownership this business and its service has gone down. The women owner had no idea what was going on, you could hear her in the kitchen sounding extremely confused about what order were being cooked. The wait time of 50 minutes for 2 serves of Gluten Free Fish Cocktails and Chips was completely unacceptable. They also reduced the amount of fish cocktails in the pack from 5 to 4, but didn't reduce the price, unacceptable. When we asked where our order was we were told there gluten free fryer has been playing up and the kitchen didn't communicate that....she was literally standing in the kitchen and they would sort it now. This is unacceptable, if there was issue how about coming up and letting your customers know. They no diet soft drink and we were forced to go elsewhere to buy a drink. Then we asked for drinks to compensate for this ridiculous and the lovely servers were happy to oblige but the women owner gave completely dirty looks. Then we finally got our food, its was so oily and to be honest it was so hard to eat. We took three quarters of it home. Then once service has started to end, the owner instead of coming to apologise to the customer for the lack of service and long wait times, decided to go and serve her family. Completely unacceptable, we won't be back

Fabulous food and great service. Love going here and Riverside Bar and Dining next door. Great selection of safe gluten free food for coeliacs!
