I arrived without a reservation and got a warm welcome. My waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable about celiac disease. He explained every menu item to which are gluten free and how they can change others to make them gluten free. The food was tasty and even the amuse-bouche was gluten free too! ☺️ Only negative was the gluten free bread as it had no taste to it, while I can get really nice gf bread at most luxurious restaurants and even on planes (-1 star for food). A different waiter took my dessert and he probably forgot to tell the kitchen that it is for a celiac as it had gluten based decorations. When I informed the staff I got a new one right away without trouble. I can confidently recommend this restaurant, though if you have allergies make sure to inform the waiter whenever you are ordering. PS: the olive oil was really great!

Eden au Lac in Zurich offers a fantastic culinary experience for foodies. The kitchen is well versed in gluten-free options and dietary restrictions and does its best to accommodate special requests. Since there are no separate preparation areas, they point out that 100% safety cannot be guaranteed - but you still feel well looked after. The food is all the more impressive: vegetables of the highest quality from the in-house garden, a delicious amuse-bouche and dishes that delight with creative combinations. The chateaubriand of turbot with champagne risotto, morels and a heavenly sauce is a particular highlight. There is also excellent gluten-free bread. The stylish bar with its warm staff and great recommendations completes the experience. Overall, a recommended place for an enjoyable evening.
