Eight Settlers Restaurant & Distillery

This place has all the views. There’s a retro farmhouse vibe and the food is pretty good. We went early on a Sunday morning and it was quiet. The service was good and quick, but is also the kind of place where you can stay a while. 😎 We ordered the settlers burger which tasted great. They also have pretty good gluten free burger buns. They were nice enough to sub out their flour coated fries with some roast potatoes.

We made reservations for Mother’s Day an decided to try this place out, given the awesome reviews. What a disappointment. Very few things were gluten free, almost everything was made poorly with a strange texture or aftertaste, and the desert options were not appetizing. We paid close to $300 for my kids to eat a few mites of scrambled eggs, my husband to eat some bacon and really awful rolls and myself to try some of their prime rib. Do not waste your money or time here. Also the setup was totally disorganized. We were waiting downstairs with no host in sight for 20 min.
