El Comalito (Easthampton)

I have never, and I mean NEVER, tasted anything nearly this scrumptious!! I regularly drive 3+ hours to get them. I once made my sister Sarah drive two hours out of her way when she was coming to visit me to bring them to me because I was having a bad day. I love them! Fantastic and well-marked gluten-free options. My recommendation: birria tacos, no onions no cheese, with beans and rice. You put the beans and rice in the taco, dip in the birria broth (really the star of the show), and enjoy. If you’re not getting the birria tacos, make sure to still get the broth, as it pairs well with everything.

The drinks were yummy - they did not skimp on the alcohol! The steak in the steak & mushroom quesadilla was tender and flavorful, the rice & beans were delish. The Revueltas (pork/bean/cheese) pupusa was AMAZING! The food was about flavor, not heat. Gluten free options. Good prices, lots of close, convenient parking, nice decor. A new go to for us. Only two things that could have been better: The chips were stale and the queso was Velveeta with heat. Truth is, I LOVE Moe's queso so that's my comparison.
