El Fant - Cafe & Bar

One of four cafes in Helsinki that offers a cake buffet. So how was it? My friend summed it up quite well. They looked better on my camera than how they actually tasted. I was looking forward to the earl grey tea cake. Though there was only a slight hint of tea and it was a tad dry. I wish they could tone up the tea flavor. In general, the cakes weren’t that sweet, which is a plus. They just needed more flavor. The puffs were amazing: crunchy and creamy. There were also 2 options for gluten-free cake, which another friend of mine ordered, and seem like she was happy with it. 7/10: might go here again for them puffs

They have a good coffee machine, but the coffee is prepared in advance, and kept hot in a boiler... the result is not good. They offered glutenfree cakes, but the cakes is stored too closed to the other cakes, therefore there is a serious risk of cross-contamination.
