El Mero Mero Taqueria

Recently had catering from El Mero Mero and it was a pleasant experience. Kate was prompt in her responses and had made the process very easy. Arturo was friendly and quick with setting up. I contacted them around the holidays so I wasn’t optimistic about getting catering last minute for a Christmas party, but they made it work! Thank you to the entire team. Our staff loved the tacos. I especially appreciate that the tacos are halal and gluten free. They were fresh and delicious. Will certainly be recommending them to other businesses/individuals.

El Mero Mero is not just the best taco truck in the Edmonton area – it might just be the best mexican food in Edmonton, period! We booked them for our wedding, and the entire process was a delight! They provided an easy to understand quote, and laid out the options for dessert, add ons, etc. In a clear way. Our venue was non-standard, and they followed our instructions perfectly for timing, accessing the venue, where to park, setup, and were able to keep up with our 185 guests easily with our one other food truck (Drift – also highly recommended!). The tacos are amazing – they don’t skimp on quantity or quality of ingredients, and it will surprise you that such a high end taco is coming out of a food truck! Their guac is super good, and their churros are HUGE and so good! Our vegan guests and gluten friendly guests were able to enjoy El Mero Mero as well, as the tortillas are corn and gluten friendly, and the vegan taco option (potato tacos) are actually so tasty – like a taco hashbrown! We highly recommend El Mero Mero for your event. Their team knocked it out of the park for us!

My boyfriend is celiac so it is always a challenge to find safe gluten free food for him, luckily he was able to have the tacos AND dessert! We had a great date night and our only complaint was we should have ordered more tacos! (Unfortunately the Carnitas were so good that we finished it in a couple min🥲) There was also a really good Valentina hot sauce that they put on the table, we had to take a picture so we could order it for home lol. Can’t wait to go back❤️
