El Mirador En El Rio

This my first time visiting here but the empanadas are amazing and the cafe is very small and cute. A lovely place to snack on some cakes and empanadas and sip some coffee. Definitely will be coming here again with the girls or a cute date with the hubby. Went with my sister and Dad and they enjoyed it! They also have gluten free empanadas and other gluten free items. My sister is gluten intolerant and she gives the 2 thumbs up and is excited to. Come here again too! So excited for the next visit. Don't have pictures of the food because we gobbled it up but it is so pretty in here. Strawberry matcha, very tasty and not too sweet

I discovered this place when my friend sent me a video of this adorable pink tree in the middle of a restaurant! I had to check it out and it did not disappoint! Everything is good and SO cute! They have a large Al fresco dining area right by the riverfront as well as in door seating . I've been there every day since I discovered it! Great place for tea, coffee or a drink drink 😉. The food is amazing and you can get a quick to-go order or sit and have a delicious warm panini. And don't even get me started on their desserts! They even have a gluten free brownie! The staff is warm and welcoming and are quick to offer a suggestion on t their favorites so just ask! My goal is to try everything in this place! El Mirador is a great addition to our downtown Peoria area!
