It's hard to find vegan Mexican food in Texas but this place hits the spot! Their soy meat is flavorful, they have a variety of marinades in which their soy meat is cooked in. They have about 9 different menu choices, fresh horchata, frescas, and of course pan dulce of many kinds. They also make their pan with almond milk and have gluten free options. They also have tamales available. Lastly, they sell 1 pound of their different meats marinated and frozen for $16 as well as their beans and rice to go.
The cashier informed us of the many marinade/types of soy meat flavors available, but we asked for the spiciest option- Chicharron con Salsa. We ordered loaded fries with chicharron con salsa (marinated soy meat) and a burrito with the same chicharron con salsa.
The food was excellent with the flavor just dripping off the meat and melding well with the other ingredients.
A great find, flavorful food, and simple atmosphere. I hope you enjoy the food as much as we did!!
