Elliot's - Borough Market

What an amazing place! Not only is is next to borough market giving it great atmosphere outside & inside, but the place is great, inside full of brick and natural light with the sky light at the end and the service was outstanding! Not inly helpful but honest as well as accommodating for a celiac who was with us that day. I normally take a lot of pictures but was too distracted and enjoyed it very much indeed!! Would recommend to anyone with the bug variety of plates and sharing cuts of meet or fish.

Elliot’s Café is a delight for foodies and a particular gem for gluten free foodies. Perhaps not a hidden gem but at least a little obscured. Whether thanks to the head chef Brett being coeliac or emphasis on fresh whole food ingredients sourced from Borough Market most of the menu is naturally gluten free, staff are allergy aware and cross contamination is managed. The large fish and beef dishes are probably very good but I have only ever taken the small plates. Highlights from my last visit included succulent grilled peaches paired with gorgonzola and sorrel for a wonderful combination of flavours. There was also a peas, spinach, crème fraiche and Berkswell Sheep cheese bowl that I struggled not to inhale after taking my first bites.
