Escalante Mercantile

Great little grocery store with lots of natural, organic, local, vegetarian / vegan, and gluten free products. The selection was good but limited since it is a little store and ever so slightly more expensive than the bigger grocery store up the street which didn’t have any organic/natural or special diet products. Amanda (I think that’s her name, with black hair) helped us and she was so very nice, even though we happened to have come just as several other people were trickling in. There was another woman who was a bit more frazzled and curt, but we could tell she was still nice just a bit overwhelmed.

Yay!! What a gem - amazing to find they carry gluten free items! Lots of plant based options, local meat, eggs, and veg. Really don’t go anywhere else for groceries. If you can eat gluten.. they’re pastries and cookies were drool worthy!
