CAFE TOKYO

I met some friends at Esco recently. It is the first time I've eaten here. My meal was very nice, well presented and I did not have to wait too long. Things turned south when one of my group went to pay and was stung an obscene amount of money for her vegan breakfast and a coffee. She would have been better off ordering the vegetarian BIG breakfast for $22 and asking for no eggs or haloumi. Instead they charged her per side or item (1 pce gluten free toast plus the items from VBB excluding eggs and cheese, bringing the cost to nearly $40). When questioned about the cost, the staff (owner) stated that sides had been ordered. The owner could not or would not consider how silly it was to charge $40 for a meal that contained less ingredients and would have been no more difficult to prepare than the $22 offering. Patrons beware!

Beautiful gluten free food, fairly affordable only down side was the glasses were a bit dirty
