DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE COELIAC!!! I ordered from here the other night (it was actually great food and super well priced) and then went to order again today and reiterated that I’m coeliac and it’s an allergy and the person said that even though it says ‘gluten-free’ it’s ALL IN THE SAME FRYER!!!! I was really disappointed because the person serving me the other night hadn’t told me this and I had a reaction and couldn’t figure out where I’d eaten gluten. Please educate your staff when someone is ordering gluten-free there is a high chance it is an ALLERGY and not by choice.
O
Staff were really friendly and were able to clarify what options were gluten free. Food was fresh and tasty, definitely recommend!
T
PROS So I was nervous to go here given the reviews but the food was great. Don't know if it is different at various times of the day (to account for some of the bad reviews) but honestly, based on my meal, it was really delicious. CONS The reason I couldn't give them higher stars is literally just because I have a soy allergy and they had no allergen menu. The staff did their best to find out what they could, but it was a big red flag to me when they reply that things are okay, when they turned out not to be. What mean by this is the many conversations we had that were like this: "Hi, I have a soy allergy, is the pizza okay for me to eat" **Immediately answers** "yeah. Pizza doesn't have soy in it" "Are you sure? Can you check the ingredients on the packet?" "The packets don't have ingredients on them." "Okay do you have an allergen list?" "No. We can only tell you what has gluten in. Do you have a gluten allergy, we can show you the list if that helps?" "No I don't have a gluten allergy I have a soy allergy. If you have no list how do you know it doesn't have soy in?" "Because we don't add soy" "Well what about the cheese. If it's vegan cheese, do you know if it's soy cheese?" *Pause* "yes it's soy cheese..." "So I can't eat that then can I?" "No." **Repeat similar conversation for desserts, bread etc.** Super exhausting. Made me really anxious. Got there in the end though and had some nice food so grateful for that. Wanna add that the staff were as helpful as they could be. They told me everything they knew and I get that people without allergies think they know what's in things and don't understand why soy/milk would be added to an unobvious thing but.... please don't tell people with allergies that food is safe when you're not 100% sure. Get an allergen menu or at least a list of ingredients for your food, please.
