We've been to Fairview Farmers twice. We loved the food both times. Everything seemed fresh and cooked to our liking.
We love the breakfast bowls and my husband and son specifically love the corned beef hash. The gluten-free pancakes are the BEST we've ever had.
However, Fairview Farmers boasts a menu that is "farm fresh" and "organic". So imagine our surprise when we sat down to the table and there was a bowl full of International Delight coffee creamer singles in the little plastic cups, which contain sodium citrate, DATEM, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, carrageenan, Mono and Diglycerides, Natural & Artificial Flavors, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, and more. Even Benedicts (our favorite breakfast place in Frisco) and Original Pancake House bring a little stainless pitcher of cold half & half to the table. Chemical-laden coffee creamers at a restaurant that markets itself as organic and farm-to-table is a little too much cognitive dissonance for me. It makes me question if anything there is actually organic or "farm fresh". They could save time and money by not putting flowers all over the food and instead providing real cream.
And lastly, the ambiance is total cacophony. The tile floors, empty walls, open kitchen (with the constant din of silverware being sorted and dishes being stacked), loud music, and everyone talking loudly over all of said noise means it is impossible to have a meaningful conversation over your meal. We were literally yelling across the table at each other, and finally just gave up trying to converse until we left. I highly recommend eating on the patio if the weather permits. If the weather is bad and you were hoping to have nice conversation, go to Benedict's. They won't put tiny little orchids on your pancakes, but it is quiet and they give you real cream.
