We went here on a recommendation from my Aunt who knows the owner. As we arrived before my relatives,We sat at the bar for a few cocktails while we waited for them. Joe, the owner, was seated at the bar and conversing with other patrons. He immediately included us in the conversation. My husband and I felt very welcomed and the bartender, Johnny, was very personable, knowledgeable, and pours a hearty drink. We had great conversation while waiting for our party. The staff is so welcoming that it did not feel like our first time there. After our our aunt and uncle arrived we sat for dinner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff was very accommodating to my food restrictions with Celiac and I felt safe eating there. The staff has been educated on food allergies and restrictions and it shows. Kudos to the owners! I had a Caprese salad to start, and Bruschetta chicken with roasted asparagus and a side of rice for my entree.. It was so good!! My husband had the fried calamari for a starter and the Pork Braciole with a side of pasta/ My husband's mom use to make this dish and it is not very common, so whenever he sees it on the menu he orders it. Joe stopped by the table and my husband couldnt compliment him enough on the braciole. He said it tasted like his mothers, which is a huge compliment! Joe promised him that when we came back he would have his other childhood favorite, spidinnni (not sure of the spelling but Joe knew what it was when my husband described it).Our uncle had the fish fry which was huge! and my Aunt had the sausage bread as a started(huge again, she couldn't finish it even with help)and the Sea bass as an entree. All of our selections were hearty! You definitely take leftovers home. My Aunt said the food is amazing and she is right! We had a wonderful evening and will be back!
