I had a truly great experience here recently and needed to share. I noted my gluten allergy in the order comments, and without me even having to ask, the staff went above and beyond. When my order came up the worker changed out all the different components of the ice cream machine, ran them through the dishwasher, and thoroughly wiped down any remnants on the machine before preparing my order. They also made sure the toppings were handled separately to avoid any cross-contamination and changed gloves as well. Often times, especially in ice cream stores, you will need to assume that there is a chance of cross contamination, but here I was not worried at all and really appreciate all of the effort they put in to make sure I could eat safely. Plus the blueberry ice cream was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

Surprising twist on an old classic - “New Zealand” ice cream certainly provides both gluten and dairy free options to mix up my sweet tooth cravings. Conveniently located on Harvard street between Coolidge Corner and downtown Allston, there’s easy walking access and tons of street parking. Cozy sized shop on the corner with beautiful pops of color featured throughout and on an accompanying mural outside. “New Zealand” style ice cream is a mix of your choice of base (ice cream / non-dairy) and mix ins (frozen fruit assortments) force blended in a cup or cone. Last you can top it off with some options like chocolate drizzle or toasted coconut flakes. The non dairy vanilla option was delightfully balanced (preferred over the dairy imho a bit too artificially sweet) and portions were generous. Buyer be ware walking out with two shirts and two ice creams it was a whopping $85 bucks. So Brookline prices but quality stands up for it being an occasional treat. 10/10 would recommend
