Came in to get some burgers from the butcher counter, usually we get a bunch of regular ones, and 1 gluten free one (they make the same burger, without bread crumbs. This takes a minute to do).
After 5 minutes of a random confusing conversation, the guy working said “sorry we don’t make meatless burgers”. What?! I then proceeded to say “gluten free”, in which, he said “I don’t know how to do this”. I then told him what the butcher usually does (for the second time) , in which he said “I’m new and don’t understand”.
Safe to say training was not provided, nor critical thinking was present given I told him what he needed to do, and recommended he perhaps ask sometime who’s more experienced.
Long story short, bad service, minimal training obviously provided, and it felt like just a bunch of summer students trying to learn as they go. I felt a bit bad for him since he was so confused.
