Faro Blanco Restaurant

The restaurant is located right next to the California Lighthouse. Beautiful views from the restaurant. Gorgeous sunset views over the ocean. Food is just ok though. Limited gluten free options. Service can be very slow too. Not the best place for little kids. No kids menu available. Hard to beat the views though. Also, they won't seat you early even if they have plenty of open tables available.

Beautiful venue, music live with steel drum, and sunset views. We went for to celebrate my husband's birthday and honeymoon. Unfortunately, it was SO windy it made it difficult to relax - we are two weeks into our Aruba trip and live on an island ourselves - it was wind like we haven't seen here yet. One annoying thing was that we were in prime "sunset" spots so people just kept coming and taking photos right next to our table the entire night - kind of interrupting the intimacy we have had at other sunset places (Pureocean, Elements). We ordered vegan options - Caesar salad, flatbread, and penne ala vodka. Unfortunately, the salads croutons flew off once it was placed at the table due to the wind. Otherwise it was tasty. The flatbread was good, but it was three small cracker sized portions - not a traditional flatbread. Finally, the pasta was very disappointing... It seemed like a thin soup was poured on for sauce, and it was with gluten free very grainy pasta which it didn't mention on the menu. I was gluten free for many years, and it seemed like an undercooked quinoa pasta. They brought out complimentary tiramisu with candles for the bday/honeymoon, unfortunately not dairy free but my husband ate his and said it was fantastic! It did take awhile to be served and pay, but it was quite busy. Overall, I wish we would have opted for pizza over the pasta for the vegan main. We have loved the food in Aruba and unfortunately, this was kind of disappointing. Beautiful venue though.
