Tonight was the worst experience i have ever had in a restaurant. Upon arriving the restaurant was entirely empty and i was offered only the high top area in the front which would not have been comfortable for my 7 year old daughter. After much deliberation from the two ladies at the front we were begrudgingly given a table at the back. I was with my mother and daughter who both have celiac disease and informed the waitress more than once. My explanation included the severity of this allergy. The food came out (eggplant parm and an alleged GF pasta. Mid way through the meal my daughter fell ill. When i asked the waitress to check with the kitchen and told her the urgency of the situation she slowly walked to the kitchen and took an extensive time for her to return. At which point i went to find her. I was then informed that the pasta did infact have gluten in it. I was barely apologized to and still charged for the eggplant parm. Since leaving my daughter has not stopped vomiting and my mother has broken into a horrible rash. This careless mistake could cost someones life if they were anaphylactic. In years of eating in restaurants having a daughter and mother with an allergy this has never happened. I am so disgusted with this restaurant’s lack of empathy and concern for the well being of not only an adult but a child. I will avoid this restaurant at all costs moving forward.
