Ferry Inn

Lovely Christmas Day lunch. We had a wonderful 3 course Christmas lunch. It was so good I just wanted to give a review. Greeted with a lovely cocktail called a Ferry Twinkle (elderflower, presecco and vodka) which was delicious. There was a choice of starters and I opted for the salmon roulade. This was delicious, home made and a nice generous portion. The main meal was a carvery (choice of beef, gammon and traditional turkey). There were lots of veggies to choose from, red cabbage, parsnips, sprouts etc and all nice and hot. The roast potatoes and parsnips are my favourite with a roast dinner and these were soooooo good. We decided to leave a large break between the main and dessert. I opted for the Christmas pudding. The management are aware that I need to avoid gluten and always have gluten free Yorkshire puddings available and everything (apart from a couple of dessert options) were gluten free. So it was so nice to eat with confidence. The service was really good. This was the first time I had eaten outside of a home cooked Christmas meal for a good number of years. I’m hoping they do the same next year. Definitely would go again. The staff worked so hard and had a smile for everyone. Just fab-u-lous ☺️♥️

The restaurant is located in an excellent place at the exit of the village, you can anchor there for the night, there are very beautiful tables along the river and a large area for children's games, and there are many gluten-free dishes
