If you have celiac disease I do not recommend you eat here. To the owner, please review celiac and cross contamination with your staff and double check ingredients/labeling/storage/prep areas. My partner was glutened last night after the staff member assured him both the fish and chips and onion rings were gluten free and cooked in a dedicated fryer. He isn’t the only one that’s had an issue here either so something isn’t right. We know he takes a risk every time he eats out but please review your protocols. We had heard such good reviews from other celiacs and sadly he was super sick because of it. Food was delicious but not safe!

I popped by to try the gluten free fish & chips. The coating was crispy and tasted pretty good for gluten free. Obviously, it was different from a regular batter but still palatable (unlike many gluten free dishes I've tried elsewhere). A really nice aspect was that the coating didn't have that gooey layer close to the fish that you get sometimes. The only complaint is that the haddock tasted more "fishy" than I expected. Both pieces of fish that I had were from the tail end. I'm not sure if this has something to do with the need for a thinner filet due to the gluten free batter or if it was just my luck. I only eat ocean fish because they generally are not as fishy as freshwater fish and haddock is pretty reliable. My serving didn't taste as I expected. I suppose it could also be slower turnover in stock due to slow business resulting in longer storage times. The coleslaw was fresh and tasty and the chips were crispy and tasted like they were made from quality potatoes. I will definitely try Fin City again when I am in the area. The people seem really nice and understand about gluten restrictions. I'll bet the slightly fishy haddock was just a fluke. Thank you for your gluten free options!

Decided to pop in during long drive because of gluten free chicken fingers, delicious…and service provided by Abi was wonderful! Will be back next time we pass through!
