Have previously loved their gluten free pizza, but ordered it for delivery tonight and got 2 very thin, small pizzas with some anemic little bits of sausage and toppings for $50.. Won't be ordering from here any more.

I want to love Fire Works Pizza. I do. The food IS good. The place is family friendly (generally) and you can usually get in and out pretty quick. BUT do not expect them to make any kind of adjustment to the way they cook the food. And I'm not saying unreasonable adjustments, I'm talking any adjustment. We used to go to Fire Works Pizza every other Friday. My son is lactose intolerant and so we would order a gluten free pizza with "light cheese." That's the only tweak we made to a gluten free, pepperoni pizza. And every time, it came out with a very normal amount of cheese. We watched to see if the wait staff were putting in the request and they were. It wasn't the wait staff's fault. It was the kitchen. I also used to get a steak fajita salad. It's delicious and very close to being one of my favorite salads at a restaurant. Every time they would ask me how I would like the steak cooked, I would ask for Medium and clarify that it's because I was giving my 1 year old daughter some steak and she can't yet have undercooked food. Every single time, it came out VERY medium rare. I mean, pretty rare for this steak-loving Texan who would otherwise never order a steak done medium. Why ask if the kitchen is going to do whatever they want anyways? So we stopped going. It just wasn't worth the hassle of pulling cheese off of a pizza and trying to cut the cooked parts of a steak for my daughter to eat. We would both walk away still hungry. Is the food good? Yep. If you order exactly what they have exactly as they want to make it. Is the service good? Wait staff is great. Will we go back? Nope. And that's unfortunate. But maybe other people are experiencing the same and that's why it was slow all the time. Who knows.
