Firehouse Subs Village West

Avoid the gluten free bread from this location if you have issues with gluten!!! I ate here after a group I'm in told me Firehouse carries the good GF rolls. It was delicious! I almost cried because I've been really missing out on some of my favorite foods. First visit, I was woken up by debilitating stomach pain and symptoms of gluten poisoning that night. Working was miserable! So, I said no more. A week later, I thought I'd try again... maybe it was a fluke. NOPE!! Stomach woke me up at 11pm, another night of no sleep, another day of misery at work. I'm gluten intolerant, so it's not THAT sensitive like Celiac is. But not here. There's either some serious cross contamination, meats not held at proper temps, or the workers have bad hygiene. Either way, BEWARE non gluten folks. This location is not safe at all!

These were the best gluten-free subs we’ve ever had. The toasted bread really made the difference.
