Ordered a takeout order of a half soup half salad, and made the appropriate modifications for my dietary restrictions when placing the order- I cannot have gluten and a few other things, so I asked for no tortilla crisps and no dressing, and ordered tomato soup which does not typically include gluten. Not only did the salad come with tortilla crisps all throughout it, making it very difficult to pick out, but when I called and asked if the tortilla crisps were gluten free, the person said “I don’t think so”, and didn’t proceed to check for a firm answer, when I asked about the tomato soup just to be sure, he said he also “thought” they put “starch” in it. There was no suggestion or offer to make things right in any way. Dietary restrictions are something that many people have to take very seriously, and something that many people and restaurants have to and do take into consideration. Not only does it make sense to ensure that food is made correctly, and for there to be an offer to fix things if they are incorrect, but it also doesn’t make a ton of sense to have things on your menu contain gluten where a gluten-free preparation is the norm- ie including gluten in tomato soup, using wheat-corn tortillas instead of just corn tortillas. So just a fair warning to those with restrictions, and a hope that first watch can create a more careful and inclusive experience for their guests!

This became my favorite brunch place! Delicious food and great portions. I’m gluten free and they can substitute your bread in any dish. Their juices are amazing!
