One of the best meals of my life. My girlfriend and I were enjoying our “baby moon” before the birth of our daughter in a few months at Atlantis. Reservations in advance were a must and we were glad we made them because the place was nothing short of incredible. Every detail from the decor to the service, to the meal itself was perfection. My girlfriend has celiac so they made sure to have fresh gluten free bread ready. The chef himself even came out and consulted the menu with her to make sure she would be happy and safe with her meal choice. Our server was excellent. Attentive but not a helicopter and sincere was he. The food itself was amazing. The best lobster I have ever had was on my plate that night. I can’t remember the last time I had an experience at a restaurant where there was so much love in every detail. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant as THEE must dine experience at Atlantis, Bahamas.

Shockingly Disappointed by this experience. Everything from the service to the food was abysmal. This was my third visit to the resort and my first time eating at Fish. Considering the prices and Jose Andre’s status as a Michelin star chef – the quality of food was appalling. We arrived for our 7pm reservation (early) in a timely manner as to respect our time commitment, the restaurant's scheduling, and the other guests – doing things in a timely manner is not something this wait staff is familiar with. We were seated promptly, and this was the first and last prompt thing to happen all dinner. Took over 10 minutes for a server to come over and offer us menus/drink menus while also saying “are you guys ready to order a drink?”…. Maybe I would have been if I had been given a drinks menu right when I was seated. We eventually order a bottle of wine which took over 20 minutes to come out – a server came out with the sommelier to take our order – 3 orders of mahi mahi, 1 grouper, 2 shrimp appetizers, one corn chowder, and 4 gluten free crab mac and cheese – we were told the mac and cheese could be made gluten free, by the chef, and the 3 celiacs at the table were very excited to have gluten free crab mac and cheese! For those that don’t know, that is almost too good to be true.. Another 15 minutes go by, and the chef comes out to tell us that the mac and cheese cannot be made gluten free…. Very disappointing and we have now been at our table for almost an hour with nothing other than a bottle of wine and disappointing mac and cheese issues. Some 10-15 minutes later another server comes out to tell us “Actually we are all out of the grouper can I get you anything else” at this point I’m really getting annoyed, and I order the mahi mahi like the other 3 people at my table – mind you we are now over an hour into the meal and 30 minutes since the rest of my party ordered. The appetizers now come out – the corn chowder was fine, both shrimp dishes were grossly overcooked and burned and the mac and cheese had no cheese sauce on it, just a thick layer of cold (once – melted) cheese sitting on top. Honestly disgusting and none of us finished our appetizers. Finally, all 4 Mahi Mahis come out (an hour after ordering the first 3 and all 4 of them are cold – they had been sitting for God knows how long. They were also served in a disgusting brown sauce with tasted like a cross between A1 steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce. All 4 of us had a couple of bites, called the server over, and finally complained. The manager came over and offered to take the 4 entrees off our bill – this was helpful but was not good enough. The manager asked if there was anything else he could get us. We were all so bitter and turned off at this point, we asked for only the check so we could leave as soon as possible. It was now almost 10pm and we had to try to find dinner elsewhere in the resort. Luckily we found space available at the Nobu Sushi Bar. Considering Atlantis charges a 15% auto tip, and they would not take off the rest of the gross food we did not eat, my bill was still over $200 for a $68 bottle of wine, $26 cold mac, and cheese, 2 $24 burnt shrimp plates and a $20 corn chowder. I complained to the hotel manager and was given a $50 credit to be applied to my room – this was never assessed to my bill at check out. This was a horrible experience, I will NEVER eat here again, and after the service I received at the restaurant and from hotel manager, Tanya Gibbons – I will not be returning to Atlantis after 3 consecutive years of visiting. My dining, gambling, and stays will be at Baha Mar from now on. I have also contacted my credit card issuer to have this meal charged back. Truly shameful and the staff should be embarrassed.
