I have celiacs and am from AZ. Visiting Manly beach and having fish & chips is iconic but not so easy for someone gluten free. Fishmongers has wonderful rating and does a gf fish & chips so I thought I would give it a try. At first I was slightly surprised it wasn’t batter dipped but I decided to give it a try and I AM SO GLAD I DID! It’s absolutely delicious. It’s grilled and a mild fish cooked perfectly. The fries (chips) are hand cut and they use a dedicated fryer. The owner knows what he’s doing with gf and he makes a sweet potato (chip) on the top that takes the cake! It was five star delicious, reasonable value for a nice sized meal and absolutely delicious. If you are celiac or even if you aren’t I highly recommend. BTW my husband eats gluten when he can (haha) and he had the battered fish and chips and loved them! EAT HERE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!
